EXCELLENCE
IN PASSENGER SERVICE

excellence
Discover a next-generation station
les-espaca
A multimodal hub
The stations open onto a square or covered area, making it easy to connect with other forms of transport, both public (buses, trams etc.) and individual (bicycles, walking etc.), along with all forms of shared travel (ride-sharing, car-sharing etc.).
les-espaca
Multimodal screens
These screens are strategically placed to be visible to the largest number of people, providing constantly updated information about arrival times, possible connections and traffic status across the whole network.
They also provide other information as required, such as news on service disruptions, engineering works and security.
les-espaca
Local retailers
Retail outlets are selected according to the station's clientele and environment, and make day-to-day life easier for our passengers.

Connected public areas
City workers need to stay connected on the move and, with charging points and Wi-Fi access, we enable them to work en route.
  • In summer 2015, RATP took action to help passengers during track upgrade work on the central section of RER line A. Exceptional arrangements to deal with an unprecedented situation.

  • Stif-RATP 2016-2020 contract: core commitments relating to investment, more staff on the ground and improved service quality.

  • Tourist buses: launch of Extrapolitan, an international alliance of the best sightseeing services in the world's main tourist destinations.

A KEY SUPPORTER
OF SUSTAINABLE CITIES

Inventing the city
of tomorrow

RATP has a novel and exemplary approach to real-estate redevelopment, focusing on bold projects that help to invent the city of tomorrow. Our garages and maintenance workshops form an integral part of mixed-use complexes that also feature housing, offices and public amenities that cater for various communities.

  • Clean buses: during COP 21, RATP presented
13 prototype buses running on electricity, biogas or hydrogen, including several world firsts, made by various manufacturers.

  • Mairie de Saint-Ouen (line 14): a geothermal heat pump system is installed in the foundation walls, providing energy for the station's heating and air conditioning needs. The first of its kind in France.

  • 314 stations in the Île-de-France network were fully converted to LED lighting by the end of 2015.
In 2016, RATP will become the first major established network to convert all of its lighting to LED.
